Red Sea Reefer 750XXL - 200G Setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I felt the satire with the first comment but the second almost seemed like you were harping on it.

Ive had this debate with lots of reefers though. According to the reefing community im not allowed to have a custom acrylic tank unless im gonna be reefing, but my petsmart EBAs love the tank regardless! It seems to me they feel the need to defend the ludicrous amounts of money they sink into the equipment and place themselves on some high pedestal, overlooking the lowly peasants with their pathetic freshwater fish and plastic braced tanks. Bow before my low iron glass and 18-compartment sump, philistines!

Not saying thats you though. I just enjoy pissing off the snobs ha!
Most refers stay far away from acrylic unfortunately.

First I am very sorry for your loss, but it looks like you did something with the inheritance that made you happy and I would hope that this would have made your father happy. You have a first class tank and I look forward to future threads as your tank progresses. Thanks for sharing what you have purchased and how it is working out. Like you, I have always wanted to one day have a large tank, but since becoming disabled due to health issues I figured this would never come to pass. That was until about a month ago when I saw a tank on Craigslist that was just to good of a deal to turn down. Like you, I now have what I would call my dream tank. It's a 240 with a 75 gal sump complete with stand and canopy. The tank is starfire glass and was only a month old. OMG is this thing heavy!!!!! Before my health tanked I was a custom cabinetmaker so the stand and canopy is something I can fix up or just make new ones. It will be awhile before I can set it up, and may wait until I move to another house that is smaller than this one. Seeing your thread certainly has me excited to one day starting a thread like yours, lol!!!!
Later
NCH
