Great video and beautiful micro sqratch. Nice yellow stripe. Looks like a healthy, hungry bastard.
Is this in Brighton or HK?

Cool, so your family take care of it when you're gone?
Have you tried any similar size tankmates?
Nicely done yo!! You got barebottom in there to cut back on cleaning and what not? I'm trying really hard to resist bare bottom tankz...haha....but it might end up happening for convience...
Yup. They enjoy watching the fish nearly as much as i do.
I use to have two reds. But this one ate the other one when they were both about 2 and a half inches. That was the only other tank mate he's ever had. I saw a beautiful TSNxRTC when i went back a couple weeks back and was dying to get it. It was cheap to at only 5 pounds. I resisted tho because i didn't want it to end up as just another feeder. I also was going to get a pbass from this store that specialise in monster fish (rays, dats, all types of pbass, pikes, arros, etc.) but when the guy asked me what i had in my tank, he told me to forget about it and he wouldn't even want to sell me the fish. Oh well.
When i go back i'm going to try and look for a suitable tank mate. I did see a HUGE c. aurti that was 18 inches but that was going for about 220 quid.
) the problem is the back end is nice and soft and the Channa would easily bite through. I had a large common plec in with mine and he out lived all other tank mates. Took a pasting ever now and then.

Good move I have a TSN/RTC and this is a top predator eating every thing it can fit in its mouth but the red definitely would have nailed him and at £5 it would have to be a small one (I would think if not get it) the problem is the back end is nice and soft and the Channa would easily bite through. I had a large common plec in with mine and he out lived all other tank mates. Took a pasting ever now and then.
