they kind of look similar to common bay snooks except more silver and green. i like them, what are they like 2 inches now?

Well, all snooks (red, and the "common" green) start out silvery green. They look like that until a few inches, when the reds begin to turn red. So what their colors do in the future is still to be seen, because they still haven't gone through their changes yet. My thoughts are beginning to move toward snook body and body color, but with spotting, spangling, and patterns of the "mutt" (bp, haha). One of them, also one of the largest, is showing more of a blue, looking very different from the others. They are averaging about 2", but a couple are nearer to 2.5". They seemed to be growing slow, until recently, when they've started spurting some. I'm hoping within the next month or so I will see some real changes....hopefully.
well they say they get most from dad. so i'm not entirely surprised they look like him so far. a few however might look very strange. keep a eye out for those ones. 
No, I'm not surprised at all with how they look thus far. There's a couple I've got my eye on.

Well, it's only been a couple weeks since I last gave an update, but they finally seem to have begun some changes. The first two pics are of one that is becoming one of my favorites. He's really starting to show and retain those vertical bands. The 4th is my other fav. He's got that spot on his upper side that almost seems like a peel. I want to blame it on them picking on each other, but it's been there for quite a few days now. In that time he's had a couple fin nips show and heal already, so I don't know. The last pic you can see some red starting to come in the gill area (there are a couple getting this now), along with in the dorsal getting more prominant. Oh, and they're mostly about 3" now. A couple a little smaller.
Well I haven't been on the forums in a while, but I definitely remember this thread. Great job raising them. Did you keep the pair intact or break them up?
