finally..........gosh
errr... it's still silver...
owner feed it with red pellet ..
pls the tan from the light and black background. enhence the silver to produce red fin... when it grow bigger, the red will slowly fate away...

i've heard that black aro's color moves to there fins when they get larger, maybe it's a black aro. blacks look like silver's when they get bigger too.

I raised my last silver on doromin sticks from Tetra. (now called cichlid sticks) It had a real strong pinkish-red color in it's fins and kept it as an adult. I have found this product to enhance reds / orange in fish coloation. It's not due to hormones that caused this coloration with this food. Betacarotine (spelling?) enhances reds/ pinks/ orange/ coloration.

My silver did not have long fins like yours, that's a real nice looking silver...

i would have to say that it really looks unusual for a sliver aro to have such red fins,

i guess the owner must have pumb it lots of red enhancing pellets.

oh well, but still $6 for a sliver is a good buy. go get it, and find out what has the owner been feeding it. haha

regarding the ruffled tail, if u find it an eye sore, do an operartion and trimp away the tail horizontally, but dont try at the roots of the fin.

given that its still quite small, the tail will grow back nicely soon, and plus u can confirm by looking at that the newly grown part , whether it still grew back as reddish as before..
