The gill (NOT GIRL) Curl will be hepled via clean water and tons of water changes (something which it obviously isn't getting looking at the particles floating around in the tank currently) which is why I say it isn't a problem ... the fact that it's lost some serious weight however is a problem as once this poor little fella has been moved to a new tank it might not eat for sometime (Hunger strike) which means that it could actually starve itself.
