Red tail catfish pond HELP !

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ya I have a 600 gallon tank and I don't want a redtail in my tank just to out grow it.

Try to get a better home, someone out there will want him.
From what i've read, a 600 gallon simply isn't big enough.

They do and will. I guess I don't want to over stock my tank or have it so the fish does not have a good amount of room to swim.

you can't tell me that a redtail outgrows a 600 gallons ?! it's weird it doesn't grows that big

The biggest rtc ever caught was 5' 5" or some where in that range so I would no less then 1000 gallons if its a tank I would put it in a footprint of 8'x8' square or larger

Dude unless you have a 10000 gallon pond its to small for the redtail. A 300 isn't big enough for a cory catfish. Everyone one on this site lives in an apartment on the third floor with a 500 gallon tank. You know what i am about go put mine in a 125 for his life and under feed him to keep him small.
