I tried banana, but he wouldnt eat that.
I have fed him green beans, grabes, zucchini, cucumber and left over mixed green salad mix. He also loves the hikari sinking carnivore pellets that i feed my bichirs.
Funny thing is a few times i have fed chopped up tilapia to my bichirs and he gets in a real pissy mood and starts attacking the wall of the aquarium and swimming around like hes looking for a fight. I think the dead fish smell might make him think there is a threat nearby.

Seems to be pretty hard to estimate weather or not the gourami will consume the plants.
Some say it's the same like a big pacu = any plant ends up in the fish
some say if they feed him enough vegtables, plants have quite a good chance. weird. anyone has any postive experience with gourami and plants?
