well im conceren that ill buty the fish and saomething would not be right as it is very expensive and afrade of it dying sooner that i would want it

ive never had this type of fish before so feeding it and amounts is important
as i know feeding can kill

temperature at the moment the tank is cold how much temperature is needed i know its in books and on the web but you cannot realy belive them as they get used to a certain tempreature

and how tolerencet are these fish to water parameters

if u want to be safe... ask the supplier for the temp of water the fish is kept in and the water pH. For gold aros, their ideal pH is ard 7-7.3...

they are quite tolerant once they are acclimatised to your tank. That will take a few weeks.

for feeding ask the supplier what its been fed. Try to wean it on to prepared foods such as chopped shrimp or pellets and such.

Hi Jonny that is actually my site, but spelt "arowanas".Unless you have kept arowanas before I would advise you to do some research on the species and if you really want to keep one, start with a silver and take it from there as you are talkng about expensive fish . Hobbyists pay even more in the US if they can get them.
 
They go here in Canada for 2500$ for a 3''. :D
