I agree with Wet Whiskers its a beautiful hybrid just a word of caution keep an eye on your smaller fish it could see them as snacks

He's right. The hybrid will almost certainly start decreasing your fish count. Tinfoils were definitely on my cats' menu, and they had to be seperated when the cats were about 20" and the tinfoils were about 10". It was at this point that the cats started to widen enough to get their mouths around them. It didn't matter if I had fed or not. Also, loaches have some serious weaponry on their faces, and I would be concerned that they'd shred the insides of my cat if eaten and not knocked out first and you'd end up with a two for one death.
Glad you got him to eat. When I obtained my 18" hybrid he did not eat for nearly 3 weeks. He finally decided to eat massive pellets after a while and now he eats everything I throw in. They just seem to become very stressed out when they are moved, much more than any other catfish I have ever owned.
I have no loaches !! Like clown's r anything Just 1 little kulie l loach !!! and a feather fin syno !!!! that is spiky !!! don't think there is anything it would choak on ect !!!!
You would be very suprised what an rtc/tsn can and will eat once comfortable... I came home yesterday to find an 8"-9" pleco in my 16" rtc/tsn's mouth 
. He rammed the glass until the pleco was dead then spun him around and swallowed him head first. I fed him again today and he ate like the pleco was just a snack... Catfish must have no taste buds!!!!

Hey guys
I have had my redtail/shovelnose hybrid since August, he is 6 1/2 inches, he is in a 30 gallon with a redtail that is no more then 2 inches. His water reads all good. He was eating frozen food but went about a week and a half not eating till I force fed him due to him being very skinny. I emailed the place I got him(bluegrass aquatics) to see what they had fed him to see what I could get for him to try. He show no interest in food no matter how long he goes without. I DON’T WANNA LOSE MY FISH! Help me ??
