Red Terror and Midas? ID Please

Most Midas are born with vertical bars and that yellow eye is leading me to believe you bought a Midas man. Also it's broad upper body is another factor as Uro don't have that and only a male festae could have that along with Midas. As for the Orange guy thats a RD/Midas
 
What store did you go too? I'm always looking for new places to check out. I'd say you don't have a festae, but it's really tough to tell with the terrible photos.

If you want feste, A Place For Pets in Burien has them. I picked one up for $5.99? Kevin also has (had?) some wildcaught festae for $32.99 I think? He also won't mis-id fish.

Fish Gallery and Pets? If so, that place has gone downhill bad in the last 5 years or so. Used to be really good. The two guys who run A Place For Pets used to work there, but opened their own place after Fish Gallery and Pets went bad. Right when it started sliding I could get mislabeled rare cichlids all the time for cheap. :)
 
That's the place. Even if the fish isn't a Red Terror I will be okay with it. I paid like $6 so it's alright. Any other recommendations for the Seattle area. I live close to Yakima and make it over their sometimes.
 
See what you get when you buy fish from a huge chain, garbage. First fish no one is even sure what genus it is and second is an obvious hybrid.

First, it's not a chain, it's a lfs. Second, we are still unsure if it is a true red terror or not. The pictures are blurry. The man at the store says he is positive they are rt's because he bought them from a breeder. Third, even if it's a Uro it's not garbage. I have never owned a Uro and would love to. Lastly, it's not a hybrid. FH's and Parrots are hybrids.

Flowerhorn, Blood parrot or Citrinellum x Labiatum......... It's still a ****ing Hybrid.

No telling what that first fish is from the pictures provided.
 
Not a hybrid. Not the it would matter if it were. A cool fish is a cool fish.
