Red Terror (I hope)

I was a little worried after the comment about him looking a bit skinny. He is a shy fish so its hard to see him feed, i tried a few thing last night but he did not take anything.

I went out today to top up my water testing kit (Interpet) took some readings they came out as.

ammonia 0.0, nitrites 0.0, nitrates 25-50 mg/litres, pH 7 temp is around 80.

Can high nitrates cause a fish to go off its food?

Anyway i did a 30% water change, plan on doing one tomorrow as well. He did take one hikari sinking pellet.

How long have you had him? sometimes it just takes a while for a new fish to acclimate. I wouldnt worry about it for a couple of days
