Yes there are, festaes will have "Y" bars right after the gill plate. The easiest way to tell apart the two is that the second vertical bars will form a Y on the upper portion of the body on the festae. The bars on the uro are all vertical and will not intersect.

Yep, exactly. All festaes of both sex should have y bars, uros won't have any.

It depends on you. Personally, I wouldn't though at $44.99. You can get true festae with that money. So was it a uro or a festae?

Will small festae have the 'y' thing also? If the big one isn't a true one, they have some smaller ones like 2-3" that I might look at..
