The no brainer is Cole only has a 55 gallon, so unless he plans on keeping a female/s (not likely out of this pair) then what is the point of paying $5 per piece for 20-25 fish that are more than likely all going to look like mediocre run of the mill carpintis hybrids? I personally wouldn't pay a dime for fish of that quality, nor would I attempt to keep a mature RT male in a 55 gallon. And that's coming from someone who has owned full grown RT's. My m/f pair lived in a 6ft 125, and my male utilized the entire tank. He would have been seriously cramped in a 55 gallon, as would most large male RT's.
Cut it out. Let him get a fish before you tell him his tank is no good for it. I'm glad to hear your too good for any $5 fry. Buying/owning a big money rt doesn't make you an expert. You know next to nothing About the quality/fertility of these fry. And "coming from someone who has owned full grown RTs" your quite the blow hard. I don't care if you would buy any, I don't care if anyone buys any. But $5 a piece is a great deal no matter who says what.
