Red Texas - high quality?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks everyone for the comments.
I bought this fish yesterday and this picture taken just before he came out of the water.
The fish is pretty expensive..
Is also a very large size. And he was sold me as a female .. (about that I'm still not sure)
aclockworkora ... The picture was taken by a regular camera and is without any editing, additions, special lighting, etc.
The picture was taken ordinary white light regular camera.
The picture was taken in order to get a real opinion on the fish.
Someone might think that it can identify whether this was indeed a female?

Thanks again for all the comments and I hope I bought a special fish, because I was not sure about his purchase .. =)

He hasn't posted smaller ones for sale yet but this large one is $750

Notice how red his hand is at 15 sec. mark....unless he's been picking strawberries, lol.

Pink lighting, that much is expected. Most over seas sellers use them, but most of the color on the fish is its own.

I can't recall exact prices but I know a lot of the small and medium sized SRT that Dave (Fengshui Aquatics) sells are under $500. Some of the larger ones can get up there in price though. http://www.youtube.com/user/siccmindz

Depends on where you are getting them from, each breeding might have a different mix of fish. Common ingredients would be Carpintis obviously and depending on the breed: Thai Silk Flowerhorn, King Kong Parrot, Red bodied Flowerhorn, Fader Flowerhorn, Blood Parrot, Midas, Red Devil.

I still don't find Dave to be very legitimate due to the fact that he has to use pink lighting. Yes, many people use pink/whatever color lights to manipulate the colors of their fish to make them look better, but does that make them legitimate? None in the least. That's false advertisement LOL. Honestly, if Dave's fish were extremely high quality, he would skip the whole lighting gimmick and show how his stock really looks like without the extra effects.

Also, The OP's fish looks a lot better than some of Dave's fish, just sayin lol.
