doomiedee I have had alot of luck keeping Erythrinus erythrinus. Common Names are exactly thta. They are sometimes called Raibow wolf Fish, Hi-fin Wolf Fish , and Red Wolf Fish. Some do have a variation of the spangling on their flans and dorsal fin. Some have a yellowish color. The most common are from Peru that have a peach/orahge spangling on their flanks and no color on their dorsal. I suggest that you give these guys plenty of cover they love to hange ouit in live plants and tunnels. I uses a combination of Java Fern nad others dense plants with PVC tunnels throughout. They doo not seem to pick with water parameters. I would suggest haveing low to moderate current. I have trained mine to eat pellets but they also like Silversides, tilapia, beefheart, and in particular nightcrawlers.. I have attempted to keep some cichlids Salvini's with them but they picked on the wolf fish. I currrenty keep 4 of these in a 120g. I think some larger peaceful cichlids would work well with them. I think Large Festivum's would be a good choice. Her are couple of pics of my group... 3 of the 4 are 8" or pretty close. Good Luck!
