Redesigned Native 210

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the identification.....crazy thing is I spent over an hour checking out different things on the "bug guide", like what Parisitoid is and how many genera of certain bugs; wow and I thought there was a lot of different types of darters and minnows in N/A!

I actually went to KDFWR and there was a link to this site, then a section for bugs, etc. that are in clean waters, dirty water, etc. and this was in the clean water section. All the fish made it this morning. Hogs are out cleaning the rocks, sifting thru the gravel and where the bloodworms landed, not sure if they are eating it thou. I also go two big steelcolor shiners and a couple types of suckers and a minnow.

Got back a little while ago, we didn't do so well tonight, no Shiners and a few Darters, since I already have the ones we caught tonight, I didn't take any home. I found several water snakes, I love catching snakes, frogs, crawdads and misc. fish.

I took the seine and cast net as well, didn't catch a thing in the net, still need to learn how to cast it, this one is 2 foot larger than my last one. We fished for a few but the hole was very shallow, most of the bass were in inches in water where we were seining.

Thanks, I added all sorts of fish to the 210 tonight, not it looks full. :) I caught that drum on a sucker, thought it was a channel at first because all I saw was a white belly and he was ripping my 5lb test. Was hoping to catch some Sauger but we decided to seine instead and let the others fish and they wound up catching one Sauger, Hybrids, etc. :)

Those Deer Flies were ruthless tonight, we killed 6 of them. Before my buddy killed the one on me, I told him to take a photo and he could see it trying to puncture through my shirt, but didnt make it.

Man I missing seining the creeks in KY that fed the Ohio. I found a creek in Southern Indiana that had longears that I swear were the most beautiful freshwater fish on Earth!

Masterb , I agree.....I think deer flies are worse than mosquitos, I hate em; JD7.62 yeah my thoughts exactly....when I compare some native Longears to other freshwater fish the only one that is close are some Discus, Paradise fish and Darters.
