I got them on mine. 2 dual four footers. T-8 I think day light but not 100% sure. Light reaches 3 foot deep bottom nicely.

you have pics of it ?? im thinking either 2 36" fixtures, or 2 48" fixtures like yourself... and is there a certian type of light i should get ? are all t8's the exactly the same ?

My tank is 10x4x3 so I put 2 duals end to end about 8 inches off the top of the water. the shadows are 2x6 laid flat with 2x4 strait on top of them for the middle braces.

i have a 72x19x24 tank .... what size of fixture you think would work best ?? just a dual 48" ? or a pair of single 36"er's ? pretty sure ya cant buy 72" fixtures.. all ive seen are 4ft 8 ft and some odd ball 3ft ones

i think 2 36s would be pretty much spot on. if ya got a canopy you could paint it white inside if you didnt have reflectors on the lites. i think the 48 would leave too much of a dead angle at each end of the tank if it was close to the water.
