regain spawn

Picked up a group of Orinoco regani a few months ago from freshwater exotics. Have had two spawns from two different pairs, but never had time to separate the pair in there own tank. I'm assuming this is the third spawn now. I separated the other fish after I seen the male and female trying to eliminate the competition. A day later I find the female doing this and the male patrolling the tank. Hopefully I'll manage to raise some fry up. Got a spare pair... anyone looking?

Congrats! I loved my regani pair. What are your water parameters like?

I'm currently lowering the pH/hardness on my F1 notos to see if I can convince them to try.

my pH is about 6.5 and tds is around 130-140. Not ideal for SA dwarfs but they don't seem to mind. But then again I haven't seen fry from this group. I have confirmed eggs in a pot, but while confirming I think I stressed them enough to abort the mission
 
Well, in the first post, I said Orinoco, but after looking at the other side of tank I wrote down Rio Tapajos. Haha my fualt

I was about to say, there aren't any regani from the Orinoco. Was going to ask for a shot of the female's dorsal.

We used to get in dwarf pikes labelled as regani from the Orinoco. They were coming from shippers in Columbia when getting Orinoco marble motoros.

Males looked just like any other regani, females were quite different, red and white dorsal stripes along with nice occeli. I'll see if I can find some old pics.
 
Yeah, the red dorsals are noto-types ... cf. noto, sp. orinoco dwarf, sp. inirdae dwarf ... and then there is wallacii. Though I suppose most exporters/importers/wholesalers would call them regani most likely, it's the only dwarf pike people seem to know.

The ones with red and white sound like sp. orinoco dwarf.
