  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
OMG.....

its killed 3 people now and they are gonna train with it again?!?!?!

WTH!!!

Its time to make burgers from this thing. Id buy one :D

hmm burger

The whale in question happens to also be the most valuable breeder in North America, one of the main reasons they kept him

And let's not forget the trainer who was killed broke several safety guidelines to get into the situation.

If I die b/c I do something stupid with a shark at work, I hope people learn from it and not take it out on the animals.

+1

You have to remeber that tilly is a wildcaught whale and its not his fault he is stuck in some small tank, probably bored. You can't blame the whale for being a whale who also happens to be at the top of the food chain. Seaworld obviously didnt learn anything. If anything I would say put tilly in a baypin or something, he doesnt deserve death for human stupidity.

I whole heartedly agree with both of you, it's a tragedy but it wasn't the whale's fault

true, but we are talking about a killer whale(while most do not kill trainers) that has a decent body count. Its simply time to stop using him in shows

I didn't say that I thought he should be used in shows, I think that pretty stupid on seaworld's part.

He has not killed 3 people...

the first indent was when a trainer fell in to the water, and 2 female whales along with him tugged the trainer around under water and drowned her ...so accadent

the second was a homeless man..who tried to get in to the enclosure BEFORE closing....than hid and stayed till after closing. they found his body with bites on it in the tank in the morning....so totally the homeless mans fault..he should not of been there.

And this one? well he pulled her under and killed her....trainers are no longer allowed to be in the water with him...he cant kill you if your not in the water.

they could put him down... or lock him in a small pool with out interaction..for a smart animal like them that is torture.

if safety rules are followed. than so be it.

The incidents were years apart.

just my 2 cents ^_^.

A) she still drowned. He might have been part of a pack, doesnt change the fact that she died and he was apart of it

B) still dead. he shouldnt have been there but the whale still killed him

C) still dead....
