Id go with a filter than can move 2x the water for maybe 80-100 more with less hassle than what i had. Maybe i just had bad luck... With 2 Xp4's... at 2 different times... on a Standard size tank... I dono man... The Fx5 is not a spurlge buy but more of a necessity for my applications. Again though u get what u pay for.
I don't think it's 'overkill' at all. The comparison is not even close because the FX5 or '2080' are in a different league from the XP4. General Motors has a top of the line model & so does Mercedes, Suzuki's topline SUV is about $20 grand & Land Rovers topline is over $90 grand. Hamburger or Sirloin ....... you choose. "T"
