What's the dirtbike you would be trading for? If you don't do it, I will trade my ATV I've been wanting to get rid of! Ha!
i traded my honda cr125 with no original parts but the frame for the tank lol

im going to try and get the stand into the house and down the steps tomorow after i get off work. im gonna work on the plumbing and refinishing the stand before i get the tank together.

that is a mean score! Maybe it was a tank from a hotel lobby backed onto a beam or something? Really crazy shape. Would be awesome to remove the notch and leave the front the same.

Structural seams on a tank can be tricky, but it depends on your skill, accuracy, and your attention to detail. You will want to follow the advice above to clean thoroughly and mark everything as accurately as possible. I would also suggest that if you are going to do at least 1 seam, you may want to consider doing all of them. This can be a daunting task, but with a jig and proper work space, you can do it if you are very thorough.

In this case since you are doing a structural seam, I HIGHLY suggest that you use the proper silicon, and not just a random Home Depot pickup. Google RTV 108 (clear) or RTV 103 (black) adhesive silicone. It is rated for exactly what you're trying to do whereas nothing at Home Depot is.

But, if you're not comfortable with that, go with the plywood tank.

I've been working on getting this tank apart and loaded up for almost 6hours. I've been working in the rain and I'm still not done. This is a huge pain and from the looks of it now I really don't know if or how this will work out for me. Idk if I can get this together my self. I need a pro lol. Anyone know of anyplace in Ohio that can help me out? Will the home depot contractors do something like this? I'm a lil over my head
