  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I first saw this stuff I thought it might have an application in feeding Discus since they like to graze but I've never tried it.

They have them at petco lol. You go to all the effort of buying and mixing this gel stuff and can't be bothered to try a wafer? Haha. I'll drop some off next time I'm up your way.

Well petco is a 30 minute drive and not worth the trip with a 3 week old and I get this stuff to my door for 8$ so I dont have to really do anything lol. Your more than welcome to stop by anytime.

For all you haters out there, screw you

Nice. Seeing as I have probably spoke out about this food the most, let me put things into perspective for those like yourself who apparently didn't comprehend what I was saying the first time.

I have nothing against supplementing with fresh/frozen foods, but feeding a powdered mix (with 75% tap water added) at the cost of this product line, is IMHO just downright dumb -unless money isn't an issue (that'll be the day) or you enjoy dicking around mixing & microwaving mush.

Take a trip to a local market & you can purchase enough "fresh" tilapia, shrimp, smelt, mussel, etc, to sink a small boat, compared to what you can purchase this powder in a bag for. If you are already feeding a quality pellet as a staple, there's no need for any additional vitamins, minerals etc, which leaves you with two things, amino acids (protein), and fatty acids (fat). Both which can be gleaned by your cichlids from any fresh/frozen fish products from the market. If you really want to get green, set up a worm farm or two and grow your own fresh source of protein.

There's nothing new about that, anymore than there is with people feeding gel foods. The former are generally just a bit more more sophisticated in their approach to feeding their fish.

This thread was Just merely my thoughts and a how to with no intent on any debate. To be honest though my two healthiest fatsest growing fish are the two that eat this stuff. Imo thats not a coincidence. No more negative please as I was just joking around and didnt mean offense to anyone by saying that. I do respect and understand your views on the subject. Lets just agree to disagree and keep this thread civil. Thanks

Not that I have anything against someone starting a thread on feeding gel foods, or care how anyone spends their hard earned $$$$. Which is why I didn't respond to your last thread/video on this subject.

My comments in this thread & others have nothing to do with hating, I'm just trying to keep things real. If you think that supplementing commercial fish food, with more commercial fish food is giving you large gains in health and/or growth, then by all means feed away. :)

Great video Forrest, I have been wanting to try this food as well for growing out some of my smaller beasts. Have you noticed that it has as high of a tendancy to come out of their gills while chewing like with pellet foods?
