Just found this thread and forums, made me curious enough to register. (So hi all!) I'm just raising some fry from a similar constellation - male synspilum x female citrinellum. Never intended to breed those or any hybrids, and neither did much to raise the fry but some survived anyway. I'm wondering: When did yours develop this high bodied shape? Mine are still really small - although 7 months old now already, and so far none of them looks anything like a parrot cichlid. (Which I'm fine with, lol.) They seem to have reddish eyes, and at least some show blue speckles in the anal fins, like dad. Else they look a lot like the one true synspilum fry I have, but growing a lot slower.
