Just some pics of my reptiles. (I won't be getting anymore since I have just been tested and confirmed to have Salmonella, so I'll stick with collecting exotic fish)
Cuban Knight Anole. (I have had him for about 3 years now)

Red Bearded Dragon (Missing one leg. The person we got her from had a bunch of them together when they were babies, and someone ate her leg... but she does just fine without it) :)

Orange Bearded Dragon (All four legs)

Chinese Water Dragon (Raised him since he was a baby)

Mali Uromastyx (Didn't like the camera flash: Raised him since he was a baby)

Leopard Gecko (Possibly a Hypo Tangerine)

And a Flameback Crested Gecko (I think)

The collection was much larger, but as time went on some died of old age, and two Leopard Geckos had died of Impaction... but everyone else is doing much better now. :)

EDIT: lol, just realized I posted this in the wrong spot... my bad.

Sorry to "disapoint" you but the Salmonella that you have is unlikely to have come from your reptiles;) Dont 100% certain its possible that it has origin on them but first none of your reptiles is particulary notorious from a Salmonella transmicion standpoint comparing for example with aquatic turtles and you say that you have the bacteria but you dont say wich particular kind you have, some kinds of it are actualy tipical of...HUMAN BEINGS:D and other mamals, and yes you can get it from other people by kissing for example. Wont bother you if you remain healty. You could also have gotten it from a variety of sorces including many other animals and their products like meat and eggs. By the way, cool reptiles

lol, disapoint? If this would be the case, then I'd be glad actually, but I'm pretty sure that it came from one of my reptiles. Or at least that is what the doctor has convinced me to belive after all of the tests had been confirmed.

then wouldn't that same reptile iridate you again and again?
you coulda just ate partially raw beef or chicken. salmonella can come in veggies too. or if u put ur hands in ur mouth, touched food, fork, etc after touching one of ur reptiles (they coulda touched their own feces prior).

so that shouldn't stop you from getting more. its just common sense to wash your hands after you touch stuff.

Actually tropical fish carry salmonella more often than herps do.

But what was the reason you tested for in the first place?

I had been tested after having multiple fevers, headaches, and muscle pain, on a Monday then it occured again on the following Wednesday, which does show that what Retuks asked, that one of the reptiles did infect me again and again. I had been using an Anti-Bacterial hand sanitizer, but after speaking with the doctor, I have found out that it doesn't protect from Salmonella. Just my luck.

Nice collection! I'm not a big fan of hand sanitizers. They kill 99.9% of bacteria, but that 0.1% is probably the one you want kill and that 0.1% will probably multiple within 3 minutes. So in essence...you're just making those bacteria that can withstand the sanitizer more concentrated and stronger. That's just my thinking. Nothing will be better that good old fashion soap and water.
