rescued a large severum today! Tell me what you think!

So i picked this green severum up at a lfs for 20 bucks he's looking ROUGH! They told me a couple from Columbus dropped him off for store credit, so the excuse of why he so rough looking is because of the 2-hour Drive in a bucket, and I beleave the poor water quality of course at its original House I know a lot of you are going to probably say dont put him in your main tank but I think melafix and a little salt at 84 degrees will do the trick what do you think. The eye is the only thing that concerns me but ive seen fish with white eyes by bumping around.

Yes Sir im just hoping my judgment and taking the word of the local fish store will play out right. Bc the eye scare me a bit and its hard to get a pick bc he's swiming like crazy so i know he's okay in some way

The shape of his head looks a bit odd.

Otherwise, I'd say just give him good water conditions and some time. He looks a little rough, but mostly healthy.

He's a big old ugly guy but I kind of like that look! Good on you for rescuing him. He might be blind in that eye from a past injury.
