Rescued a TSN!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well this guy has gone from hunger strike to the point where I gotta feed him before I do a waterchange or parameter check, unless I wanna get wet and suffer finger damage. I thought I'd try to see if he'd hand feed the other day and I got splashed as he snatched the shrimp.

i've figured out though that if I give him 1-2 before I stick my hand in there, he'll take the food sort of politely.

My RTCxTSN is the same way. I've learned to stick my hand in as a fist and not to open my hand until I'm holding onto whatever I put it in there for in the first place. If I stick ANYTHING in there when he's hungry, he grabs it and runs off with it. He tried to take off with my 3 foot tongs the other day.

Lost my TSN last year, but he used to insist on being hand fed. Usually he would gently take the food, but sometimes he would snap it out of my fingers and it didn't hurt although it was always a surprise. It's like small sand papery teeth. Good memories.

Good rescue! He's a beautiful fish! I can't wait until mine gets that big.

Well I got this boy moved to his new home, and he appears to be quite happy! although he was PISSED about the whole bagging and moving part of it.

That's so awesome.congrats to you and good luck with him!! I bet he will love his new home

Well if he doesn't love his new home, I sure do! It looks awesome. What does he think of having a window? Can I ask the handles on it? It looks cool even if they don't serve a purpose. Definitely adds some style.

excellent ive been waiting a while for you to get some fish in that wicked tank ;) he seems to like it alot too. A very well done to you matey for rescuing him and giving him the home he desurves

@ wetwhiskers, i think the handles are in place as it was a heavy tank and needed some where to be lifted from, took a few guys to do it, there is a thread on the build and your right they do add a certain effect to the look of it, very cool indeed ;)

Im slightly confused by the pics though, in the 1st set your tub is in the place of that huge tank you built, how did that happen its like a time warp
