Rescued Red Festae Then and Now

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks again everyone lol and we would love to pair him up and get some pretty little fry out of him. Our female is still not showing any signs of being ready to breed. I think she might be a late bloomer lol or wants a selection to choose from. They show no real interest in each other or aggression.

We had a buddy of ours that said we were dumb for buying it and that he wouldn't have wasted his money and now he is trying to buy the Festae from us LOL

What was the friend's comment regarding; your purchase cost, the risky condition or both? Nonetheless, it's a great recovery for the festae with your helpful aid.

It was both he thought that $45 was too much and that it was stupid to try and save a dying fish. I figured it was worth a shot he was a 9 1/2 almost 10" when we got him and now it right at 10". Even if he didn't make it it was only $45. We spent $180 on 3 adult peacock cichlids only to have all of them die a month later. You always take a risk when buying fish.
