When I resealed my 125 gallon tank it only took me 1 tube of silicone. With this tank I put an extra wide bead at the bottom so it used 2 and a half tubes. Overkill I know. I should of just went with a normal bead instead of what I did but its sealed up pretty good.

Yeah I used 2 tubes to completely assemble and fillet all the joints on a 120.
Extra wide bead is a bit of insurance as long as you let it cure properly. No aesthetic problem with it on the bottom, as it ought to be covered by frame/gravel anyhow.

I was thinking about posting a service on craigslist or somewheres for resealing tanks. $1 a gallon up to 30 galons, anything above 30 gallons is 50 cent a gallon plus supplies.
so a 40 gallon tank would run someone $35 plus supplies.

Depends how much time you're willing to spend for a buck. Resealing a 10gal tank will take you probly 2 hours to make $10. Make better money pumping gas.

OK back on topic. That one tank with the bad trim. Can it be saved? I started to take the trim off today. Didn't get it all fully off yet though. Going to break the glass all down into separate panes and see how it goes. But my question is though. Will that trim stop the glass from bowing again? Maybe if I put an L bracket or something on the outside of it?
