Reselling stuff on Craigslist

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is a good idea except when a con artist adopts a puppy you were fostering after doing a interview and them giving you a huge story and how they will love the puppy and blah blah and pay a $50 rehoming fee only to find out that person is a puppy reseller who resells free or low fee puppies at a petco in a different county for $200+

But for items i dont see anything wrong about it. Kinda like picking. Everyone makes a buck.

Noone has asked what I'm doing when I buy the stuff, but it will happen. I'll probably lie to an extent. I mean telling someone that I'm buying your 55 gallon setup with everything for $60 then going to resell it for upwards of $125-150 wouldn't go to good I would think. Most people don't care though. If the owner is selling for cheap they know it most of the time.

Animals is a whole different situation as you have said.

Dude have u ever heard of Mca?

When I got a new fridge my dad had the other one in my garage and it was awaiting a guy my dad was gonna pay to give the fridge. I didn't understand this so I went looking on Craigslist for a scrap metal person. I found a guy who came to my house paid me for some scrap computers we had in my garage and the fridge. I got $50 and was happy as I could be. My mom knew about it and said I shouldn't be making deals on Craigslist alone again. Then my dad was laughing that I found it so quick while he looked everywhere. But the guy said he buys metal gets it all together and then goes to a scrap yard and makes money. I didn't know he paid for it until after we were done moving all the stuff.

What if you post a Sad story on cl on how you cant buy stands/tanks/food for your fish and would like donations and than Flip them on cl

Done well recently listing things for barter. Even turned down some pretty nice items. Generally if they want your item the item your getting in trade will have more value. You do need to do your research though. Also buying the right complete aquarium set ups and parting them out can make you money. Best to do it because you enjoy doing it, not just because your making money at it.
