Resisting temptation

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have to fight the temptation every time I'm at a pet shop... Lol
It used to be that way for me too but no longer since I have pretty much gotten most of the fish that I have always wanted. Also,I keep my collection to a small range of different species that I am quite satisfied with.

I'm a bit like Krich and owned most the fish i am actually capable of keeping long term...

The only time temptation really hits is if i see something really rare that i've always wanted, but that doesnt happen often and normally the pricing of said fish puts me off...

Like i saw some really interesting rare tetras i wanted to add to my 60G, but at approx USD $20 for a fish under 1" long i couldnt justify it...

My typical favourites include: neon tetras, minnows, tiger barbs, cichlids such as BP and convict etc; only problem is that these fish rarely cohabit peacefully, so it usually ends up in a tonne of different tanks, when I'd realistically like to stick to 2-3 tanks max lol.

Oddly enough I have two large main display tanks and then I have three grow out tanks ranging from thirty to seventy five gallons each.

Yeah, the back section of my basement is my fishroom.

Oh man im constantly battling this urge. Just thos afternoon my wife and i were talking about Bowfins.

What makes it worse is that my kids are heavily involved in this hobby. At some point someone always wants something new in my house.

It would be great to set up a large planted community fish tank. My biggest tank is a 150 (small by mfk standards) but i always wondered how interesting it would be to have a bunch of community fish with a heavy amount of plants.

Im hoping to re evaluate what im able to keep (add more mwwwaahhahhah) with in the next year. Providing our move goes smooth
jaws...you find a bowfin at any point you best be PMing me or buying an extra to send to me haha
