Restaurant Banning Loud Children

Yeah, seattle, not too far away from here. However they gave small businesses 7 years to comply and I think 2 years for large corporations. So it's not happened yet. Several other cities are following suit. which is what I think Rocky is referring to. Whole cities, not fast food by its self.

More recently, some businesses were considering have their own minimum wage higher then the state/federal wages. Rocky could be talking about that too but why would you hate on someone for their company considering higher wages? That could lead to competent workers moving into the field. You'd leave your job making 8-14 bucks an hour if you could make 15 doing 40 hours a week at McDonald's.

oh I see. I think it's a good thing, for the reasons you stated

there are already many states that pay a higher min wage than their state requires

btw, I don't think rock even knows half the things he says

On topic though. It's hard to choose a side because it really boils to whether you have kids or not. Parents understand that sometimes kids get out of control. And people who don't have kids don't get this and usually result to "these people have no control of their kids"

In conclusion, if I go to McDonald's I expect annoying children. If I go to red lobster I expect you have reasonable control of your child. As a parent you should know what to expect from your child at a place like that.

Don't you think something lead to this restaurant rolling out this ban though? They didn't wake up one day and say hmmmm I feel like banning all loud kids. Something likely happen, more then once. I bet repeated issues with loud kids or they just want to switch clientele.

i'm sure it's been repeated issues and repeated complaints for their decisions

That's my guess too. I've left restaurants before my food even arrived at the beginning of my relationship because the gf's kid was getting loud and throwing a tantrum. I know many parents that would try to just ignore the child to not give them attention or talk through it. I might've even tried to work through it at kids eat free night at Shari's but it's really about gauging the temperature of the room. I don't trust most U.S. citizens to properly do that. That restaurant doesn't either...likely from experience. They just needed to meet with a PR person before unrolling their policy change to word it more delicately
