Nothing wrong with playing it safe. More people should follow your lead.
No tankmates for at least six months is prudent, as every other fish likes what stingrays eat.

I like your future tankmate thoughts, we have kept BGK and petina splendida with our rays for a long while.

Heres an update.. They are starting to grow You probably can't tell by the pictures. They are putting on some very dark colors, and even 'Stumpy' is starting to get more active and colorful.

I was really worried about the smallest ray, 'Stumpy', because it had a snubbed tail and was pretty skinny when I got it. I treated it, and it's been eating well and has grown a new thick stinger. I am assuming the re-growth of a stinger is a good sign.
