Revamped Bullfrog/Map tank.

By the way, I am remodeling the hardware cloth top to properly fit the 55 gal, originally it was for a 75 gal.

I wouldn't mix species, especially not amphibians and turtles, it looks pretty neat for the frog but the water is very shallow for a map, I'd look at setting up something similar to what it had before

I've heard this many, many, many, many....many times. I do not mean to be that hard headed nooby, but I've been keeping them together for a little less than a year and not had a single issue.

But I do admit that it could very well be an issue in the future. Maybe.

I was unaware that the map needed deeper water, I'll work on fixing that thank you.

Okay I attempted to fix a few issues that were pointed out and/or I saw myself.


I fixed the hardware cloth so that it had a nice tight fit, I cut it so that the lamp could sit comfortably, I also cut a small area out so the cord coming out from the in-tank filter. The only issue with the top is that it will pop up on one side or the other. I used the bricks to hold it down.

I put to bricks in to "hold" the gravel back to provide a deeper section for the Map turtle.

The Map Turtle had trouble basking, so I added a broken clay pot piece.

Comments and thoughts?

I did have a question. Why is it a bad idea to mix the bullfrog and the map turtle?
