Turtles eat frogs...

I'll let you know when it happens. :D:popcorn::D

EDIT:

I'm sorry that was stubborn and ignorant. I will keep that in mind, thank you for the reply.

I hate people that ask for help and then go stupid when its offered. First thing, I have kept Turtles while over 20 years now and yes your frog will eventually be a meal, no ifs, and or Butts. I have seen Turtles take down frogs twice their size, your Map will eventually either get curious, hunger, or aggressive and its going to take off a leg and then after the frog dies, eat the rest of it. Its the same priciple with Fish, you can have a turtle and some fish coexist for a year and then bam, the Turtle decides its time to eat a fish. Frogs are the natural food item of Map turtles, to it there is basically a Thanksgiving Turkey in it tank and one day, it will be thanksgiving.

Secondly you still do not have enough water in the tank for the Map, its a Riverine species and needs depth, at least 75% of that tank needs to be filled. The amount you have in there is just causing it stress, get it up to at least a foot and a half depth.

lol comments are awesome, anyhow what i think of this tank is very creative, first you have 3 levels in your tank you have the dry land, then you have the shallow waters, and then finally the area with just water. I think thats awesome, but at the same time i was thinking that wasnt enough water, i think this experiment would look much nicer in an aquarium built along the line of 17 x 17 x 10 like a square basically...

you know what.. just tear up your backyard and just build a little pond. now THAT would be awesome :D

He didn't really ask for anyones help for help, just invited comments.

If the map manages to take so much as a toe/finger off my frog, I WILL SHAVE MY HEAD.

Thank you for informing me that the map needs a "deep" environment, I will work on getting him into a setup he will be happier in.

Thank you for your time. I truly appreciate the replies.

I tried keeping some forms that were larger than my painted in with them. It ended very badly in a matter of days. And once in a while my common snapper like to have frogs as a snack... Along with anything else that moves( or doesn't, or isn't even edible..)

Well... Those are different species. I'm not saying anyone is wrong or that I am right, but turtles don't all eat the same stuff.

I would NEVER put anything in with my common snapper unless i wanted it to disappear. lol

Very true about the snapper lol! Although I can get away with fish with him, he's only interested if they're "new" or they are sick/injured. But painted turtles like most basking turtles are very similar to map turtles so I'm just warning you, if my painted would do it there's a good chance your map might also.

Really? Cause that's boss. What species of fish? How big is the snapper?

In the mean time! I reworked the setup.
