Things have been a bit slow, have been busy with work among other things as well. Have around 6 fry growing out (almost the size of a full neon tetra) and haven’t had a spawn in a solid two weeks. Might be due for a large wc and some heavier feeding. Expect to see a full write up on these before the end of August

Hi, Thanks for this and conrgats. Would you be able to show the tank that they spawn in and where they spawn? On a rock, in a pit, in a cave etc? Any input here would be great. I have 5, 2 males and 3 females in a 40G breeder and have had limited success breeding them as I dont think Im giving them the right env to spawn. Any input would be great.

I am practically down to a pair at this point. I have distributed the few fry I have produced but have been quite busy as of late. I ended up losing the smaller female, which was actually targeted by the larger female, it was an extremely interesting dispute that I did not expect to end in death. The male has begin attempting to spawn with the eldest of the female fry, seems they may sexually mature quite early.

Ive setup a pair in a 40G breeder tank. SourAngelfish would you be able to post a picture of your breeding tank? Looking to understand where they lay the eggs, how, etc? Any ideas on Temp or other water paramaters?

Interesting. I'm trying to keep track of all the tetras that seem to whiddle themselves down over time. It seems to be all my favorite ones lol.

Thats a GREAT picture.
How do you stop your pair from tearing each other apart? My male chases the female relentlessly to the point where I have had to separate them to ensure that she is not killed?
Like to understand the parameters of your tank also if could share? Temp, PH etc? and how/where they spawn? Really want to get my 2 pairs to spawn, they are big enough, just need the tricks!
