hes more settled today and hes eaten today i have put the light on today also but ive put a cloth uner the light so its dim he seems to be burning off some energy scooting about in n out of plants and wood coming up to front of tank im well happy

Nice it should only get better now!whats the flow rate like in the tank some the lads on this say add something for stronger current in the tank and yeah it is full of red bellies over here 2

I'm running 2400 gph but I have it on timers so it only runs for a few hours during the day. At night I let it go on canister circulation rate only.

i have 1 1000 lph and a 600 lph power head on a manifold so my flow is 1 direcional but i have a lot of wood and smooth rocks so he can rest
hes still shy but we are seeing him more often now

Everyone preaches about water changes, water changes water changes, if you the proper filtration you don't need to do 80% water changes per week, these fish are generally clean eaters once you get a feel for them, they won't leave food laying around the tank. These fish are extremely skittish and taking out that much water and "****ing with there tank" that often you'll stress him out, I have my rhom in 120 gallon with 2 fluval 405 canister filters and an aqua clear 70 power head, I do 50 %water changes a month and my parameters are perfect.

yeah he seems to when hes out lol the manifold system works well keeps the flow going one way if you google aquarium river manifold it ll show you how to set it up its realy easy quite quick and cheap to do and if you put filter sponges on the 1 end it adds towards filtration also only thing is changing or clean could be a problem with having to put your hands in the tank lol

Yeah ive seen those before just no good with the diy lol the fx5 I see gets a lot of good reviews going to pick one up soon enough

heres my lil guy sorry about the crappy pics but he was sat right there and i only had a fonecam at hand he sat there for ages getting pics done hes much lighter in the flesh but think with the dark gravel and dim lights i was lucky to see any thing in the pics lol
