Right amonia for tank cycling???

As with just about everything in fishkeeping, the information varies. Some people claim that you should cut right back on the ammonia once you see nitrite appearing, since it might slow down the growth of the nitrate-producing bacteria. However, most seem to recommend sticking to 3-5ppm throughout the cycle.

I'm going with the second option and it's worked for me so far. Basically, it will work either way. Which is faster? I'm not exactly sure about since I haven't done a laboratory test to find out.
 
I got my bottle from Ace hardware also. Worked like a charm. It contains 10% ammonium hydroxide and no bubbles when you shake it.
