This is my first time with Rtms and so far im in Love with them. I originally bought a group a few months ago and only one made it, so i bought another group and since the one i had previous was larger i kept it separated from the others. The one i had separated turned out to be female
out of the group i bought one of them outgrew the rest which i assumed to be male but it showed some red tint on its body so i remained undecided. today i decided to pull the known female out and place into a 55 divided and grab the larger unknown and do the same which will help me accomplish to goals, one of which was to help determine its sex and the other was to allow some of the others the chance to grow out.
So after i placed both Rtms into the 55 the female immediately started to color up!! and the unknown showed its true colors as well
I had to take some quick video footage to catch their first interaction. Now mind you they are only 3.5" and the female still has a ways to go before being a jaw dropper, but she is on her way
I plan on leaving the divider in for a few more days to let them settle into their new tank then ill give them a shot at each other to see how it goes
but heres a lil video i took of them in their new tank. Enjoy
