Goias a state in Brazil where (Rio Cana Brava is located) and the two main rivers that do run though Goias is the Araguaia and Tocantins (on the top corners of the state), with the surrounding states of Bahia, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul and Minas Gerais. So, that being said, the bass is most likely a kelberi "IF" the bass was wild caught and not been bred in Singapore and labeled "wild caught". Since this bass came out in (or the first time I've heard about this) was early 2012 and the guy that I knew that could get some, told me that the Rio Cana Brava bass came from Singapore.

The arrival of this SP was before the sao fran appeared in the market. I can't say for sure if it is WC or CB. But I trust this LFS who regularly bring in WC fishes from SA and Africa. I can also assure you these did not come from Singapore as they were imported together with a batch of WC SA fishes, I should know since I was there when they arrived. It was also a contaminant from an Azul shipment, they won't suppose to be there.

Anyway, I know for sure less then 7 still exist in Singapore out of the 11 that arrived. If it was bred here, the market would be flooded by now. I think the PB breeders in SG have proved that making a quick buck is more important to them then maintaining market pricing and quality. A CB Kel goes for less then 30USD over here now, abt the same for Azuls. We even successfully started to breed Xingus. News like this spreads easy in a country as small as mine.

Then yes nid, I stay true to the fact. If they are wild, then in my opinion, the bass you have are kelberi's, BUT, they are from the Rio tefe's (spelling) the same batch rapps 4th batch was. Really last bloomers. Still in that state, but middle state.
