Rio Negro Orinocensis - THE HOLY GRAIL!

here's a pic of my bigger rio negro, not as nice as james' i think james were much bigger when he got them. see what i mean about the light color? the two in the background are my rapps orinos. these have long diamond shaped markings.
this guy has round markings. and when he gets pissed or excited, the vertical bars go away and you can see the gold outline a little more. also, this guy has more pronounced cheek markings, which the others dont. and lastly, this guy has a horizontal stripe going to the tail (like james) which the rapps ones lost as they got bigger.

Maybe it's just water parameter. Like I said, I rarely almost don't do frequent water change.
As long as they are different, then it's worth to keep. All you want is variations, right?

is that rio negro the top right or bottm left? caue the one on the top right does not look at all as nice as the bottom left.

^ and i was wrong in this post. the rio negro is actually the one on the bottom, with all the spots. it wasnt until i picked up one of james' rio negros and threw it in the same tank that i knew which one he was
