Hey guys, as the title says I wanted to go for a rio tapajos biotope tank. It will be a 6 foot 125 gallon. So far I have
x2 heros efasciatus 'rio tapajos'
x4 geophagus 'red head tapajos' (I will be adding 1-2 more)
I wanted to add 20 or so lemon tetras and two l260 plecos.
I'm not so much worried about the plants being biotope specific as much as the fish. Im wondering if this would be considered fully stocked? If not what else do you suggest? Any and all advice is welcome.
Thanks.

Probably wouldn't be suited for life, but the tapajos pikes are really something to behold.

Thanks for the link Evojoey! Japes' tapajos tank is amazing. I was looking for something like that to help guide me. I think I'm gonna go with the Cory cats instead of another group of earth eaters. Two groups just seems like too much.

Woefulrelic if I were to do any pikes it would be the dwarf species regani. I'm still undecided on which dwarf cichlid to include. I'm trying to decide between laetacara araguaiae, dicrossus maculatus, apistogramma agassizi, or crenicichla regani. All of which I have read come from the rio tapajos.

It might be worth noting that while the tapajos river is a potential collection point, it is not necessarily the actual collection point for the fish you've listed. With that said, it might not be important to you since they will be very similar or nearly identical to the fish that would be collected from the rio tapajos. The regani in particular will have regional variants that are aesthetically different so you might want to put some consideration into it. I also picked up two of the tapajos sevs from Jeff and they are stunning.

Edit:

I also keep them with 6 red heads and it's a reall nice contrast for the reds of the geo and green of the sevs. There is a lot of cool things you can do, and your blueprint offers a lot of possibilities.
