Hey guys, as the title says I wanted to go for a rio tapajos biotope tank. It will be a 6 foot 125 gallon. So far I have
x2 heros efasciatus 'rio tapajos'
x4 geophagus 'red head tapajos' (I will be adding 1-2 more)
I wanted to add 20 or so lemon tetras and two l260 plecos.
I'm not so much worried about the plants being biotope specific as much as the fish. Im wondering if this would be considered fully stocked? If not what else do you suggest? Any and all advice is welcome.
Thanks.

I would say you will be pretty well stocked with two Heros and 6 small Geos, especially if those Heros pair up. I would not add any Satanoperca to the tank as even the smallest species is about 8". You could get away with a trio of small dwarves like rams or maybe some apistos if you give them some dense areas to hide if they feel threatened. And of course cories are a great idea. 6-8 with the dwarf cichlids or 10-12 without.
Yeah I decided against the satanoperca, which was hard to do with a couple vendors having acuticeps in stock right now. I ended up deciding on a trio of laetacara araguaiae and a single dwarf regani pike. Nobody, from what I can see, has any biotope specific Cory cats available right now so I'm just gonna hold off on those. Plus I feel the bottom level is getting alittle crowded at this point.

So I couldn't place the order for the fish last week and plan on it tomorrow and unfortunately in the mean time I have been second guessing what I should get. One idea was a small group of Mesonauta festivus. What do you guys think? I am going nuts with the amount of different possibilities! Someone help set me straight!
