Riparium setup with Synodontis petricola

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Cyrtosperma johnstonii plant is still doing well. There are several new little suckers growing around the base.

I plan to get some new plants started with those.

I took the Cyrtosperma johnstonii outside for a shot in the sunlight. This new leaf has more of the gold and pink.

This is a great plant, and pretty easy to grow in a riparium provided that you can give it some vertical space.

Thanks very much. Unfortunately, I'm not really maintaining this setup as a display at the moment. I chopped up a lot of the plants to get more propagation material and now I am using the whole tank to grow out more new stuff. I hope to start to rebuild a real layout again with all new plants, but it's going to be a few weeks.

Glad you thinking of a new project, not happy it will be a few weeks.

Can't wait to see what you come up with this time.

With the new propagation you have been doing, is it possible to get a few pics of how you are doing it and how young plants are floated and rotted.

Thanks and hurry up with the new project.

Ok cockroach I'll do my best. I have so many tanks around here it is hard to keep up with them.
Oh well there is a perfect thing to keep us busy with then, pics of your tanks or fishroom? Don't let this great thread die.

These little juvenile cats were expertly packed. I highly recommend this seller.

who was the seller?

Where is the new full tank shot?

I got the syns through an Aquariacentral.com sales thread. I would have to go look for the seller name, but I do remember they were in a Chicago suburb somewhere.

Sorry I won't have any new FTS any time soon. I have been using this tank for plant growout. The fish and plants are still happy, but the tank is a real mess.
