Does anyone here keep ripsaw catfish with rays? I seem to remember seeing some pictures here in the past.

My friend has one with his trio of rays, They are a cool cat that seem very easy going. His is about 18 inches I would guess, his rays are small right now, 5 inches to 9 inches more or less. His cat is always sucking the sand bottom, sometimes on the rays disk in search of food but not hard enough to do any damage or anything. As i said looking to vacume up shrimp and other goods. After seeing his I was intereted in getting one untill like all the other cool cats I read that they can get to over 36inches in length easy. Still tempting though as they are neat. I really like the pattern they have on their bodies its hard to see but really ornate and neat. If you can get one and have it local you should take the opportunity to get one, they are cool cats and the mouth is more like a loach mouth.

I have one I'm growing out with a megaladoras cat in a 75 to add to my ray tank. My clown loaches ate most of the megs tail tho when it was in with my rays but its growing back. I hope this dosent happen when they are larger and hopefully they can all coexist.

I have seen it done a few times. For the most part as long as it is to big to fit in their mouths they leave them alone. I like them, they are a cat that most don't have.

Yeah kept young one about 10-12" with two adult rays, ripsaws grow pretty quick, only trouble I had with ripsaw was he was like a hoover, had to keep on top of feeding as he would hoover most of it up before the rays got a look in.

+1, I have a big guy with some big rays. No issues other than the Niger cat is an eating machine!
