Now we need tank shots.

Agree on in tank shots...this thread combined with egons fish makes me want to keep one of the two I have for sale. One would look great in the gar tank!

I love those oxydoras singers! I wanted one a while back but my lfs wouldn't part with it. :( I never understood that. isn't the point of a store to sell something? lol

Depends when I open my store I will have a black ray display. Those fish will be a personal collection on display only. It is not only cool to do, but a good way to bring in business. I'll have other rays forsale, but people will tell other people about the display. That will bring in some extra business. Not only that, but if you go into a store with a few thousand bucks into a display, most people will trust you(the owner) have a handle on fish keeping resulting in a potential for better sales. Now that can kill you as well if you have no idea what your saying and have bad customer service or bad stock. Then it is just another expense you have to deal with. It us kinda like putting rare and expensive fish at eye level. People will see them first and be intrigued by your store.

Start with your tank:)

If you're worried about size you could always go with a giraffe nosed cat. They look similar but stay smaller

I completely understand that. In my particular situation though, they were selling the fish at one point. It was no longer in the store or even in a display. Very frustrating because I was willing to part a pretty penny for it.

We have one in the lfs I work part time at. It is 3 feet long and lives in an indoor kio river, still the biggest fish in the river. It comes half way out of the water to take pellets out of our hands and get petted.

Here is one of the twins I have for sale. I am thinking really hard about keeping one. I had one that got killed by pesticides. I have always wanted them.
