They are a whole lot easier to catch here in FL. Canal, Frog lure, and decent pound test line...zzzZZZZ! Snakehead!

lol, well it's not my store. But in all honestly my boss makes sure that if he sees anything going on, he explains to the customer the high maintenance level of the fish and suggests what they will need.

But once you have bred fish or sold/gave away some of your own, you cringe at the thought of somebody not taking proper care of a fish.

I totally agree.. i was at a lfs and a guy bought a sturgeon for his 55gl tank i just kinda stood around and listened to the conversation he was having with the store Clarke and thought to myself what an ass,:irked:
 
There should be more "clarkes" :) who help the hobby, not destroy it. That's part of the reason everyone thinks it's so hard to keep fish. K.I.S.S. comes to mind.
 
"River Monster" got me back to keeping fish again, by no means I have a Monster 75 gallon tank, I do however have a 75 Gallon tank! I have no plans on buying the Goliath Tiger or the Alligator Gar. :)
 
Ok, I hope this doesnt come out wrong and make me look like a 100% *******. but I have always wanted a fish tank, and yes i am a newb to it, But i started watching river monsters and it opened me to a whole new level of fish, it kicked started everything for me. Go ahead and bash me for it, im sorry its the truth, yes i am one of the guys who would have went and bought a small tank and put 5 payaras in there thinking it will stay small due to being a small tank stunting its growth. for this i am sorry, but I jumped onto the forums becuase im not a 100% dbag retard know it all ******* pos. :headbang2 for that i think lol, but i am picky, i dont like alot of fish out there, i have always wanted something straight beasty to me, like the snakehead, vampire payara and the afaican tigerfish, i thought piharana's where the only thing out there. but reallly what i am getting at is that alot of people out there don't know about forums nor the fish out there.. i know about the forums since i am huge into the car scene . there for my frist thing i do is reseach and go a forum, but alot of people out there have no clue they are out there. and they see these and want them, you can't be mad at them, for that. now if u tell them about the fish and they blow you off like a dumb **** then :screwy::irked::swear::duh:


once i am able to get 2 payara's i will be throwing them into a 35gal until its time to upgrade. but these will also be the only 2 in the tank
