I've seen pacus in some numbers off orange dr near pine island if you go to Everglades tackle there's a pic of biggest one caught locally there some what here I don't think there fully colonized here I haven't caught one yet I fish a lot and use cast nets for other spices that are hard to catch such as knife fish and plecos etc we do have a lot of odd ball fish here

I'm sure they can farm the little silver ones, just like they can farm red pacu in the amazon for food purposes. Scientist have been able to breed organisms with pretty complex life histories now.

I said they won't establish in Florida based on the fact that in over 10 years of there presence in Florida. They are the most caught exotic fish that hasn't established (Read that carefully). In addition, breeding females, fry, or any hint of reproduction have not been witnessed in Florida. I don't think the environment will allow them to successfully breed here although they can live here. This is also just speculation on my part, but is based on knowledge of the fish and their history in Florida.

Aquaculture and invasive species are two different things though.
 
Just saw something Intresting I know bull sharks can move in fresh water brackish never seen it till now I saw a three four foot carp get bite in half. off c11 canal I think it's c11 the canal off sunrise blvd in broward county. There's a few baby snake heads in there to and some other invasive s

A monster fish he has caught, but not targeted is the masheer. That would be a good one.

It'll be interesting to see if he fishes for mahseer on the show. He has done it plenty and has caught a 95.5lb golden. Has a book "somewhere down the crazy river" published in 1992 about mahseer and goliath tigerfish..
