River Rocks For My Tank

Putting a rock in an oven will not do anything to it. I just did it half an hour ago. I bought a bag of Mexican Beach Pebbles which is anther fancy term for river rock. I bought it from Home Depot and a bag covers 5 square feet at 1" depth. I washed and scrubbed them with tap water. Divided them into two and "baked" them in the oven at 550F for about 20 minutes each. They cam out fine.

I was actually contemplating putting it on my lower back after I got it out of the oven because I had a warm river rock massage before and boy was it relaxing. Good thing better judgement got the most of me this time though.

Thanks for all the help guys i am looking at a few shops but there not much so hopefully sometime if i can be stuffed i will go to the river and get some rocks.

go to your local garden/landscaping supply place - they will have heaps and prices reasonable. I got 2x 10L buckets of decent river rocks that I hand picked for $4

lucky me i read this thread AFTER i just boied rocks in a big cooking bowl in my kitchen, thank god/buddah/who ever u believe in that they didnt explode
