Well, I suppose Ill have to try to get a good ID on the fish I currently have then. I have 3 that look like the above pic, but were sold to me as VATF's.

VATF has line/stripe on the body, and the nose/jaw is not that flat/square

Bottom is GATF, have more pictures but these ones shows clearly the shape of the snout and head differs from all other ATF specie.

Here's a couple that is similar to BOTR received that are not GATF's.

Could be the specie FATF or BATF, but definitely not GATF

In one picture you can see a single Vittatus in the group.

Just arrived......he is upside down and barely hanging on. Got him floating now. Any suggestions?

No one can actually be upset with RW. Why? well they posted a picture of what they were selling. Even if they say 100% GATF, well sure. That's what the invoices say

Buyers has to take some sort off responsibilty of doing there homework before buying. Their is "ENOUGH" information now covered on several threads about properly ID'ng a GATF.

This was not like 3 yrs ago when it was only 1 person in the whole United States who had one. Just a year or so ago probably about a few dozen GATF's were available in the states.

OXYGENATE ....OXYGENATE .... put some airstones and get the water circulating. Slowly drip to avoid PH shock & Temp.

If you have Amquel drop a squirt in there.

I don't know about anyone else, but Im not upset at all. Just wish they had made it. It always a bit of a chance when you buy like this, thats part of the fun.

If you have Amquel drop a squirt in there.

Also if you have a canister... Take off the tip of the out-take of the water. Make the water come out above the surface to create more air in the tank (if hes in the tank), and add some salt.
