Roadkilled Coyote = Fun Science Lesson

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great hands on lesson. Keep up the good work. That is something those kids will remember for the rest of their lives.

Awesome teaching methods! Are the bones in good shape?

Thats pretty cool. My science prof. in 7th grade did dissections with us... we did a lot of whole animals but they were small and normal things.... but it was the best part of the learning experience. Great job, its def. something they will remember! Nothing better than hands on learning, imo.

Thanks!

The skull seems undamaged - I'm waiting for the maggots to do their thing before cleaning it up. A student took the rest home and buried it with a tractor, saved me from some muddy digging.

Thanks. It definitely was a step beyond your typical rat or piglet dissection.

Haha good one!

Another time my friend walked into a bio class with a water bottle in his pocket and the professor asked him if it was a water bottle in his pocket or if he was just happy to see him. My friend responded "Eh, a little of both."

I did a summer interning with the florida DEP, and one of my buddies there said the following:

"You know why I love mini bananas man? Cause one someone says, 'Hey is that a banana in your pocket?' You can say, 'Yea, actually it is.'"

Lol. Dude whips out mini banana in front of supervisor. Good times. :D
